Laws of nature and laws of life

In 1543 Copernicus asserted that the sun, not the earth, was the center of the universe. This certainly was an important discovery but the fact that our planet is not the center of the universe had already been established for a while—as a matter of fact, since creation.

Others claimed that the earth was round and not flat. Not so long ago, a person stating truths like this was in danger of losing his life. Who among our grandparents would have believed that their grandchildren would be walking around with a little cellular phone in their pockets, capable of talking to anyone, anywhere in the entire world? The technology is simple enough—once you discover it.

The laws of nature have been there all along, although man did not know them—and to a large extent they are still not known—this in spite of the fact that the laws of nature function 100% mathematically correct, without exceptions, for all people, under every possible circumstance, and this is how it has been throughout the ages.

The laws of nature have their counterpart in “The laws of the Spirit of life”—the spiritual laws of nature. They are two sides of the same thing, and they can no more be separated than two sides of the same coin. Throughout the course of time, man has shown an enormous interest in discovering the laws of nature, since they undoubtedly give him hope of a better and richer future. Unfortunately, it seems as if his interest in the laws of the Spirit of life is waning, correspondingly.

Maybe it is time to take an interest in “spiritual science”?

Let us take a few selections from these unbelievable laws of life: The generous soul will be made rich. Ask, and it will be given to you! Give and you will receive! And do not forget the most important law of all: He who humbles himself will be exalted! Each one of us must simply do as Copernicus: We must acknowledge it as a fact that this is divinely true. We must come to faith that this is how it is—always, in all circumstances, for all people, and at all times.

God does not have to implement special measures to get His laws of nature to function. Neither does God have to intervene in order for His promises to be fulfilled, when I have kept the conditions. God is not a respecter of persons—He simply lets His laws take effect. See Rom. 2:11-16. Nevertheless, God does intervene both in nature and in our lives. The Creator is above the creation. God's intervention does not collide with the laws of life, but is in agreement and in accordance with His own creation.

Why is there so little progress and development, so little fellowship, or so little revelation of the Spirit? The answer is self-evident: We have not come to faith! We are still walking around thinking, “The earth is flat,” and “I am the center of the universe.”

Maybe it is time to take an interest in “spiritual science”?
