The Church in Måløy

Some people find it strange that we drive 8-10 hours to Brunstad, sometimes just for a weekend. But when it’s something you love, it’s easy to do it!

We made good use of the long winter months in Måløy, Norway this year and built a new coffee bar!  We believe it will be a great blessing for the friends in Måløy.

The church in Måløy is just one of the many churches that came into being as a result of Johan O. Smith’s missionary work during his service in the Norwegian Navy during World War I.

The weather has been beautiful here in Måløy, Norway.  So it seemed like the perfect time to go for a boat ride on our newly-purchased Børingen. 

In Måløy, we have children's meetings on Wednesdays, instead of traditional Sunday School.  We also have fitness activities for the small children, something the youngest members in our church really look forward to. 

Holding a men’s conference each year has become a firm tradition in Måløy, Norway.  For the last 30 years, young men and boys from all over western Norway have gathered there for conferences.

The snow lay fresh and pristine, and the sun shone from a blue sky that Saturday morning as the girls opened their eyes in Stryn.

In January, around 40 boys from Molde and Måløy packed their bags and set their course towards the ski slopes of Mt. Stranda.
