Throne of Grace

Sung by: Buddy Coblentz | Melody: Oliver Tangen | Lyrics: Bjarne Johnsen | Published: Monday, March 10, 2014

I know of a secret place-
Quietly I seek His face
Everywhere, in a crowd or alone,
Everywhere, in this place I am at home.

Though life’s struggles may abound,
Help in time of need I’ve found.
Anywhere, to my God I can pray
Anywhere, He will hear each word I say

To the throne of grace I’ll go,
Help and mercy He’ll bestow.
Though on earth the darkness thickens,
I’ve an open heaven—joy and peace and righteousness!

In life’s busy-ness I find
There’s a place where I can hide.
There outside, when the storm rages on,
Then my heart, softly whispers out glad song!

To the throne of grace I’ll go,
Help and mercy He’ll bestow.
Though on earth the darkness thickens,
I’ve an open heaven—joy and peace and righteousness!

Find that quiet place of prayer-
No intruder’s welcome there.
Time and place, any time anywhere-
Life and peace, is the power I gather there!

To the throne of grace I’ll go,
Help and mercy He’ll bestow.
Though on earth the darkness thickens,
I’ve an open heaven—joy and peace and righteousness!
