“My strength is made perfect in weakness”

Published: Thursday, March 17, 2011

After reading 2 Corinthians 12:9, Kåre J. Smith uses our temper as an example of weakness that is rooted in our human nature – we are easily tempted to anger.

He goes on to explain that God’s power enabled Paul to overcome his weakness because he acknowledged it. “But you have to acknowledge your weakness and believe in the power of God,” Kåre exhorts – that is, we must humble ourselves and acknowledge that we are very easily tempted. Only then can God’s strength be made perfect in our weakness.
