“The Little Match Girl” is a short story written in 1848 by the Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen. The story of the little girl who tries to sell matches to earn a little money, but who finally freezes to death on the last night of the year, has caused many people to stop and reflect throughout the years.

We are reminded of Jesus' own words in Matthew 25:40: “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Have you stopped to think how you can make Jesus happy?
