During the second week of the July conference at Brunstad, the focus was centered on the youth and children; both in regards to edification, as well as for most of the other activities.

Finale for Outdoor Challenge, this year with the theme, “Survival”: The teams had to perform several challenging tasks, including among other things a lot of climbing and rope work. Here is the team from Hønefoss.

Three chefs prepare delicious food for an informal evening with a variety of entertainment. The “Summerfest” has become a tradition, and tickets are in high demand.

The youth meetings in the main hall during the three-day youth conference gives spiritual renewal and inspiration for thousands of young people in attendance. The evening prayer meetings give many an opportunity to get a new start to their life of faith, or to renew their covenant with God.

The soccer tournament keeps the young girls and boys active between the meetings throughout the conference, and creates new friendships between players from several countries. Tough competition and a high level of play make the victory great.

The children’s conference: The theme this year was, “Thankfulness – a weapon!” Some capable children and youth from Drammen had prepared an instructional opening meeting, where the gospel was presented in a simple, child-friendly way.

“Thankfulness is a powerful weapon against Satan,” says Kåre J. Smith in his message to the children during the opening of the children’s conference.

Children and adults look forward to the games between the meetings at the children’s conference. Here is a dad and his child, dressed up in one of the many entertaining relay races.

This classic game is included every year, and the excitement is electric with the participants as well as with the audience as the pillow blows rain down.
